Hispec tires

I've got a 2020 Avalanche that came with Hispec trailer tires on it. Are they a good tire or should I change them out after a year?

Welcome to the forum. Are you sure you have HiSpec tires?? or wheels? I've tried to google Hi Spec tires but they only seem to make wheels or wheel/tire assemblies using other brands of tires I suppose. Look at the tires...?

Welcome to the forum!

Enjoy your travels with that new Avalanche, and be sure to post a picture or two when you get a chance.

Cheers,

Gary

I know of HiSpec wheels but not of their tires. Maybe someone else can shed some light on that. I have been unable to pull up anything saying they manufacture tires.

They (hispec) buy the aftermarket tires with their name, couple them with their wheels, and ship to manufacturers on a 'just in time' system. I have no idea who makes their tire, suspicions yes, but I simply don't know.

I have Hispec tires on my 2021 keystone Laredo. Was wondering also if they are a good tire?

I have been on the forum for awhile and have not heard good or bad. If you look for reviews of their tire line you won't find much, only reviews of their wheels which I think is their bread and butter.

Good Day, as for the HiSpec Oracle tire it is still relatively to the market, the Oracle tire was designed by our team of engineers that prior to joining our team. Spent year in Detroit working in the automotive industry, there goal was to create a brand of tires that meets the needs of RV users. The HiSpec Oracle is made using High density polyester plies, high strength steel belts, and a nylon overlay. The engineers also put in a lot of time on the construction of the tire to help reduce heat buildup while towing heavy loads. Not only do we have our own testing facility, we also use third party testing to ensure we are making a quality tire. Our goal is to earn customer loyalty with our tires in the same way we have with our wheels.

Welcome to the forums and how fortuitous for you to join and answer Wygliser's question. Question for you, and they made in the states or overseas?

foldbak, the HiSpec industry rep replied to a thread that no one had posted to since last November.

As like most trailer tires ours are manufactured, but we did not just pick an existing tire off there shelf. the design of the tire was done here in Indiana. to be honest the only trailer tire I know of made state side is the Goodyear endurance, which is a great tire as well

Like Gearhead, I'd like to say thanks for coming on and standing up for your product. We don't get many manufacturers (or any) very often.

Hi Spec Oracle, thoughts from a consumer

I drove on the Hi Spec Oracle tires for 9 months on my 2020 Keyatone Laredo TT (no issues, less than 5k miles). Then we upgraded to a 5th wheel, 2020 Keystone Avalanche 396BH (16,500 lbs) and it also had the Hi Spec Oracle tires. We bought it used and tried a long trip from Houston to Phoenix and then back thru El Paso, diverting toward Big Bend before the final stretch back home to Houston.

We had a tire blow out near Marfa, TX --> Middle of No Where! We had a sliced hydraulic hose, destroyed wheel, destroyed fender skirt. Counting RV Tech and replacement parts, it cost us about $1200.

Hi Spec Warranty Dept, promptly sent me a new tire and rim and they were easy to work with.

We are leaving in 2 weeks on a 6000 mile trip from TX to Glacier NP, Yellowstone, and Grand Tetons....and yes we decided to upgrade. Almost went with Sailun, but decided on the Trans Eagles.....

Other thoughts.....we also bought a TPMS system for the new tires, now travel with 2 spares, and bought a 12 Ton bottle jack. We also travel with max tire pressure at 110 psi cold.

Sounds like a great trip. We are way overdue for that area.
Give us a couple reports...
