Alright Javi! Good choice. Extending your range (away from routes without gas stations) is just like excess payload; a great thing to have, not always used, but available when needed = more relaxing retirement!

Thanks, we're already planning a couple of trips that would have required finding a fuel station along the way. Really looking forward to only having to worry about low bridges from now on...

Put 25 gallons in it last night and it refiled the truck tank while we ate dinner..

Would be really nice to be able to take advantage of good prices and to fill while unhooked as my driving kind of stinks with the camper hooked up.
You really need to look into one of these tanks...

The Covid played heck with service stations out in W. TX. Just don't have the money at the moment but it is still on my list of wish-for-but-don't-really-need-immediately stuff.

Well keep in mind, I was really excited to see how much space it left me in front of the hitch. I was sweating bullets before I actually saw the tank in the bed.

I have a long bed and seldom use the bed for hauling "stuff" and mainly use the truck for dragging my little 5ver around the state. There are plenty of places around Texas where fuel stops are far and few between and only place worse I have been is New Mexico. Riding a bike in NM requires at least a 6 gallon tank or be prepared to stop in some out of the way place till Monday when the filling station opens.

Most of our camping is during the cooler months, so we like campfires when the burn bans permit . Thankfully the cool months are also wetter.
You'd be surprised how much wood two old folks can burn in a week or so... not to mention the whiskey.

There's just something about a campfire and whiskey.

I too had the RDS 60 gal. in the truck I traded last week. Gravity fed, extended my range, easy to install, and under $900. I will be ordering another for my new truck next week. Might get the tool box, undecided right now on that, but definitely a great upgrade.
As many have said here, when you find a good price you can benefit and not have to buy fuel in places like Illinois - Bio diesel...

One thing you might do is keep your eyes open for a used one. They do show up once in a while. I've bought 2 or 3 TransFer Flow tanks to resell
