Dometic Refrigerator

I have a 2022 cougar 364bhl. The fridge has been working great up till to days ago. All of a sudden it won't go below 56f. On either propane or shore power. I've checked both fuses and the fan fuse. The fan does run. Any suggestions on what could be wrong. I live full time in it so as far as taking it to a dealer it would be hard for us. Not to mention I'm in Michigan and we bought it out in Nevada last January. So don't know if a dealership in Michigan will even want to look at it for warranty work! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I would start by placing a thermometer inside the fridge to verify the temp. If it’s consistent on both settings and the thermometer I would guess it’s probably the thermistor since it’s consistent on both gas and electric.

What model fridge?

Thermistor placement can be critical, but some models it isn’t adjustable. Helps to know which one we are working with.

It's a RM1350SLMX. It does not have a Thermistor. It' only has what looks like a temp probe mounted at the top of the fridge.

That is the thermistor. I’m looking for the service guide for that model.

Found it:

Don't know why that would happen. It's the Bryant RV Services website.

My control box is nothing like the ones in the manual. Once I figure out how to post pics I will.

You need to remove that cover. The control board is underneath.

This is the box as a unit. Don't see how removing the box will open to the control board. Click image for larger version

That is the cover to the control board. It’s late and I’ve been going to work early due to the heat. I think you have to use a small flathead screwdriver on the sides to unlock the tabs and maybe the screw at the top that is 1/4”.

I would like to Thank everyone that has commented on my post. I had a mobile rv repair coming out. But someone on my other groups suggested to go out and remove the lower vent cover and smack the pipes around which I did this morning with the side of my fist. and sure enough it started to cool down with in 4 hours it was down to 33 degrees. Must of had a blockage which I jarred loose by beating on the pipes. So It is working fine now. So Thanks again for all the help!

Happy to hear it’s working again. Hopefully the “blockage” disintegrated enough not to cause the issue again.

Actually it’s not fixed.. smacking on the flue stack just temp reseated a connection that affects both LP and Electric mode..

I would be reseating all the plug in points on the control board as well as checking for loose or corroded ground

The fridge needs 12 volts DC even when operating on electric mode..

I have the RM1350 and it’s an excellent fridge..

When is the last time you pulled the flue stack out and cleaned it along with taking off the upper vent cover and cleaning out the condenser coils
