Recall 22V-144 Solar charger wiring

I got the letter about this recall and mine is wired wrong. My question is does this only affect the 12 volt system when it is not connected to shore power and the battery is getting charged by the solar panel? Or is the high voltage still present when hooked to shore power? I don't want to be sending 42 volts to the control board of my water heater and refrigerator. Thanks

How do you know yours is wired wrong? Does the Victron app show a negative voltage or something odd as referenced in the recall?

Mine looks like the panels are wired in series for about 40v from the panel to the MPPT controller and 13v to the battery bank. Attached is a screenshot of the Victron app for SmartSolar.

It looks like you're wired right. I got my letter Friday, and I checked this morning. The battery voltage should read just over 12v, and your solar should read higher. Double check the settings are 12v in the app and you're good to go. I sent screenshots to my dealer.

I got the recall letter Friday, and followed the "Self-Inspection" instructions.


Looks like mine is wired correctly, and I sent the screen shots to Keystone.

I downloaded the app and am attempting to connect> The app is asking for a code from the SmartSolar. Where would that be?

The code is six zeros and shows up on your screen when you go to sync.

Okay, thanks. I saw that but wasn’t sure if that was it. I’m in and mine is wired correctly. Thank goodness.

On the KRV-22-423 Solar Recall: I was notified April 20 of the Solar Control Wiring Recall and I responded with the screen shots below and I received a reply from Keystone HQ 5 days later that my system was fine. Here are my screen shots I sent them:

Mine is correct but I question the battery setting. It's set to Gell but I have regular lead acid batteries. Should I change the setting and if so to what?

Probably want to try this question at Victron Support. They may want the detailed charging specs on your battery.
