Help!!! Slide Out issue

I was cleaning up the 5th wheel & ran the slide in & out a few times & the last time I went to put it in, the motor just runs. I tried manual & the motor shaft turns & slide still won't retract. I used a large wrench & was able to turn the cross shaft (square shaft, gears on both ends) to get it to retract partially. The slide will then work going out only. Just motor spin when retracting.

Any ideas? I need to at least get it closed to get it to the dealer

Thanks
Frank

Do a search in the keystone forum for slides that do not retract.
I had this happen last year to me and posted on how to fix this issue to prevent it from happening again.

I spoke with my dealer. They spoke with Lippert. Lippert is shipping me a new Motor & actuator shaft. My 5th wheel is about 1 month out of warranty, but the lippert part has a 3yr warranty. I pulled the motor & shaft in about 1/2 hr, so putting it back together should be no issue. Thanks for the replys

Not to hijack this thread but since the problem appears to have been resolved.... is Lippert and Norco one in the same? I was advised my slide was made by Lippert but when I called Keystone they said Norco made it and sent me to their website which matches what I have. They have a great troubleshooting/repair manual for the slide. Just trying to learn all I can about my rig in the event I have a problem with something. Thanks

2 of my bigger slides are Lippert. They are the Motor & actuator type.
I have a smaller slide that is a cable operated type & that is a Bal, by Norco.
