Sorry, I think there are various styles, some you lift and then lower and others have buttons that you need to reach in and push in to get them by a stopper.

If you have drawer slides like this one, on the second piece in the picture, you see the black plastic "tooth pick" thingy. push up or down on this skinny lever. Mine are quite hard. One may push up and the one on the other side of the drawer may push down(thats how mine work). I really have to push hard on mine while working the drawer in and out until they release. Good luck.

My Hideout has the cheapy under-drawer slide. You just reach under and find the little plastic thingy and push it up.
