Water heater won't heat in electric mode

The clip is pulled the water heater tank has water in it -the switch is on -the breaker is on . any Ideas? .
It's a brand new 2013 Laredo 12 gallon water heater .
Works fine on gas but not electric. Thank's All

You say the clip is pulled, must be talking about the rocker switch on the exterior of the water heater behind the access panel, also there is probably an interior switch on or near your electrical panel where your tank monitors are. Hope this helps and Happy Campin...............Ron

We ran into the same thing with our new Cougar 3 weeks ago. Checked the m anual.

Switch outside behind hot water heater panel had a cclip.....but also needed to be flipped to "On" position. Also switch near tank monitoring has to be on.

Might need a reset. There are two black rubber buttons on the water heater near the switch. Push them in simultaneously.

"OHM" That's what you say when you are sitting on the floor with your legs crossed and your eye's closed "OHMMMMMMM.

The only switch on the wall by the tank monitor is the water pump switch and one water heater switch when turned on fires the propane side of the water heater . pushed in on the resets they did not move so must not have been tripped .
Sounds like a trip back to the dealer . OH bother
OHMMMMMMMMMMM

TNT Miller, Howdy;

Basicly courious, have you tryed the HWH with the gas OFF
and turn the switch on. to see if the elect. side will work.....

Wouldn't be the first time something was mis-wired at the assembly point.
