Safe or stupid?
I saw this today going down the highway. It was on the back of a Cruise America rental rv. I wonder if Cruise America would approve?

Some people will do anything I guess. I'm sure Cruise America would flip out.

What the hell is it attached to, the ladder? Cheap straps, a nice wind and the boat will be on top of another car!

It was on a rack on a reciver hitch. It moved back and forth constantly. Nothing about it looked safe. But they were only running about 50 MPH. Probably because it was catching so much wind.

Maybe he'll realize after the boat get's airborne it would have been better to also rent a boat trailer.

Let's assume for just a nanosecond that safety is the primary concern. Tie the thing on the roof. But before you hit the road, snug it up to one of the skylights, drop the line down the open skylight and tie it to the handle of the fridge. Then close the skylight for added safety. After that is done tie your safety chain to the loop on the receiver in case it slides off. NOW head on down the road!

You forgot about dropping the anchor into the toilet. That'll make everything "safe as can be"......

While this is concerning, I'm more worried about Billy Bob and Bubba who fell out of the fishing chairs somewhere one road.....
