Here is what's on my truck. I actually had these same flaps on several trucks for the last 10 + years. On my old body style Ford they were bolted under the bumper as they are on this '09. When I had them on my '06 and '08 F150's, they were each mounted on a square tube. On the F150's there was room above the receiver hitch but below the bumper to weld a square tube across. When I wanted to pull the trailers, I'd insert the flaps and secure them with a pin. They were easy to remove and reinstall when needed. The design of the F350, didn't allow for that to work, so I just mounted them permanent under the bumper. I'm just giving this to you as another idea. I wanted the hitch mounted flaps too, but I didn't want to have the receiver installed, as the truck barely fits in the garage as it is. I also was concerned the rock tamers or something similar would block the factory back up sensors. I had these laying around, so with alittle fabrication I made them fit and saved my money. If I were to do it again, I like the looks of the dura-flaps mentioned above.
