Ac vents that close??

I have a Passport Ultra Light 28bh and love it. I really would like to know if i can buy an AC ceiling vent that closes as well as swivels. I need it for my kids "room" because once their curtain is closed it freezes them out. Any suggestions?

My AC vent pops off so I guess you could pop it open, jam a sock in there, then snap it back on. Mine’s the round circle vent that rotates to aim the flow. Jamming my skinny fingers in there, I can pull it off, leaving the base exposed.

There is one ceiling diffuser that closes almost completely. With a little modification, it can close completely, all you have to do is remove the stop tabs.

On this page of the go-rv parts catalog, left hand column, third item down: #61449 - we had them in our Sunline and they were great for balancing the air flow throughout the trailer.

Or....

On this page of the go-rv catalog, lower right hand corner, the BRD Rotaire Registers should fit in place of the standard A/C vents. They do close completely without modifying them.

For everyone, the go-rv.com parts catalog is the most complete RV parts and accessories catalog anywhere. Most RV dealers and repair shops get their stuff through this catalog. I recommend that you go to this online catalog and bookmark it for future reference.

We put the wide louver ones in our old 97 camper. They closed pretty well. The only problem we had was that we didn't think to measure the opening and we had to do a modification to make them fit. Didn't won't to pay a restock fee.
Good luck.

Looks like Steve's second link would be perfect for you. We had the first type in our sunline as well and while they worked great, you couldn't direct the airflow.
