RV Awning Stains

We have started getting stains on our awning near the top where it connects with the camper. Any suggestions on what to use to remove stains w/o hurting the awning fabric?

We just had this exact discussion a week ago. This thread contains all the cleaning info you will need including a like to the awning manufacturer's instruction sheet which contains details about cleaning and which products to use:

A nice and easy way, is to use Mr. Clean magic erasers.

Awning

I'de stay away from the magic eraser, even my marine vinyl says to stay away from the eraser. It works but too strong, the soap and bleach mix has always worked well with out damaging the material on all the campers we have owned. It's mostly mold attached to the dirt on the awnings when we've had to roll it up wet and did not let it dry out completely. Simple clean up pump sprayer soak it down, roll it up, let sit for a cold one, roll it out rinse it off, let dry, let dry, let dry!

Re-Awning Stains

We have been using the spray type mold & mildew cleaners found at Walmart or any other department store... Roll out awning, spray awning top & bottom & roll back up... wash rest of camper, then roll out awning & wash with long handle brush & cleaner used on camper... We use bleach/cleaner mixture in a bucket when washing the camper... Great results!!

I use vinyl siding cleaner and add bleach. Spray it on with a garden sprayer let it sit for a while, spray it off and you're done.
