Can you get a bucket of steam to clean up any spills? That jug cap looks like it requires a left handed monkey wrench to get it loose.

Where did you find that? I've been looking for muffler bearings without any luck, maybe that place would have them.

That seems like a lot for a muffler bearing. I've seen them as low as $3.95. Mind you those were made in China.

The high school auto shop joke was to send a new guy to get chrome reverse muffler bearings. A few did go and ask.

"Fifty feet of shore line", was another old standby, and let's not forget the "Left handed smoke shifters"!
Good Luck,

When I was a high school kid, working after school in a shop building stainless steel stuff, one guy handed me a styrofoam cup and asked me to get a cup of acetone. So, I went to the supply area, and the guy there poured acetone into the cup.
Less than a minute later, the styrofoam cup just disintegrated in my hand, while all the workers were watching and laughing.
It was GREAT! FUN STUFF!!

Reminds me of the days of electronic kits from Heath, Allied and Radio Shack. A friend of mine assembled an amplifier that wouldn't work. It was obvious from looking at the circuit board he had some cold solders on his resistors. I informed him he had numerous resistors in backwards and he should fix that (resistors do not have polarity). Upon resoldering he corrected his issue, and all was well. He was (at that time) not cognizant of either issue.

That was the 1st time I heard the "Get 50 feet of shore line." I will use that one sometime.

I can go you one better. I was in a lab at MIT, and I asked the lab tech for a cup of acetone so I could clean the old paint off a used electronics closure. He went over to the supply area and did this to himself. I would never have expected him to pick up a styrofoam cup.
MIT. Go figure.

Heard most of these, but when you have been around for 70 years, you've heard about almost everything. Snipe hunting at night was always a good one, and I don't see a tent stretcher in the mix, so I'll add those too. But, I would think we could come up with new ones when it comes to RVing. I've always wanted to say something when my wife tells me, "The 5th wheel is jerking again, can't you do something about it?". Best answer I have, "Yep! need a new truck."
