Question Hook-Up in Maneuver Position ?

After unhooking with my 15K Reese slider in the maneuver position can I hook-up with the slider still in the maneuver position ? Then after making the hard turn out of the campsite, side the hitch forward to the towing position.

We almost always unhook/hook with the slider in the maneuver position.
1. Less likely to make contact between the lowered tailgate and the front of the camper.
2. Makes accessing the front compartment for chocks, leveling pads, etc. easier.
3. Easier to pass back and forth under the chin while getting ready to break/make camp.
4. Because we can

I hook up using either position. If I camped in a pull thru site the hitch will be in towing position when unhooking. When ready to leave I hook up without moving the hitch. Visa versa if I am in a back in site. Have not had an issue either way.

Thanks for the input here also!

That's why I signed up... First season pulling with a 6'9" Ford, and a Reese slider, after 30 years of LONGBEDS!

Lot's of Good Info here!

Good Luck,
