Question greystone fireplace

The glass front of our Greystone fireplace shattered. Has anyone else had this happen? I've searched the net looking for a replacement glass but no luck finding one.
Suggestions for finding a replacement glass would be appreciated.

I've never even been able to find a parts list for Graystone fireplaces. The parent company is WAY Interglobal Network. They are located in Elkhart, IN and supply a number of products for the RV manufacturing industry.

In the owner's manual for their fireplaces is this statement: "If you have any questions about our line of Greystone fireplaces, feel free to contact our office at (574)-971-4492."

You might want to call the company and see if they can offer any leads on where to buy parts for their products. If you are successful, please post information here so the membership can take advantage of your findings.

yolo2rv, Howdy;

Do you have any Glass shops in your area. Some will do walk-in jobs
and the chance that they have the correct glass is generally good.

Looks like for $158, you can just replace the whole thing.

Fireplace glass replaced.

Thanks to all who responded with your suggestions. I called Way Interglobal Network. They were helpful, albeit surprised that the glass had shattered. They had a replacement glass which they would have shipped, but taking into consideration the cost of the glass, shipping and exchange on the dollar we opted to check out our local glass companies. We now have our replacement glass installed and fireplace back in the RV.

yolo2rv,

It's great you solved your problem. If you don't mind posting, what did WAY Interglobal Network give you for pricing of the glass? We all understand the differences in shipping to Canada vs the US, as well as the currency exchange rate differences, but the quoted price of the glass would be helpful for others who may want to find a replacement glass.

Thanks in advance !!!

Way Interglobal Network quoted a price of $42.00 for the glass, $22.00 for shipping to Canada. Plus add in the 41% exchange rate. We paid $39.00 plus tax at a local glass company. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. It may help someone "down the road" who's faced with trying to find replacement glass for their fireplace. Not only will they have a distributor source as well as a "local alternative" but they will also know a "ballpark price" to get started with their search.

Appreciate your contributions.

I had the glass shatter on our greystone as well. Since we are both in Alberta, where did you purchase your replacement glass?
