2nd A/C 2005 372BHL

Recently purchased an 05 Springdale 372BHL for a summer getaway at the river. I want to add a second AC unit to the rear, master bedroom. Does anyone know if they were pre wired in these years? I pulled the skylight bezel down and couldn't find any evidence that it is, but I don't really know what I'm looking for? 50 amp service too.

Secondly, any recommendations on size and brand to look for or avoid?

Thanks for any help.

Is the trailer 50A service or 30? If its 30A then it wont have any provision for second A/C. If you took the beauty ring off the vent and couldn't find any Rolex, then that would be another indication that it's not pre wired.

Doesn't mean you cant, just means it will take more $$ to upgrade and install wiring. Lets make sure it even doable before we talk brand and BTU's.

It's 50 amp. I didn't go digging around in the void space. One side had the AC ducting and 2 other sides had some bracing around the opening with the roof rafters along with a bunch of insulation. I didn't want to go digging round until I asked. Would the romex be dead headed, just lying there? Would there be any clues in the breaker panel? It's located there in the master bedroom, under the wardrobe.

Mine came with a cover plate next to the vent with a sticker saying it was pre-wired into the box for a 2nd AC. It was also braced for one. Don't know if what you are seeing in the rood is additional bracing or just what was normal. If you don't have the AC pre-wired into the location I would suspect not only was it not wired for it, it wasn't built (supports) for it.
