Aluminum Skirt damage
My preloved Laredo 291tg had some existing damages when I bought it.
I banged out the dents somewhat, but I want to fill in the tear and repaint the skirt.
Does someone have a recommendation for a putty or epoxy made for aluminum and any special paint?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

epoxy....
well i took a 4x4 block of wood, braced the back of the skirt with it, and tapped on the dent from the outside. this appeared to take out most of the dent. Then I put a bead of epoxy on the tear. waiting for it to dry to sand it out.......

Metal glaze will work just a thin amount spread on it and blocked out, or if you can find some EA934NA, tat is an epoxy adhesive that will harden like steel and is heat and cold resistant, it is expensive and has to be measured out, hardener and paste.

glaze
Thanks Hollywood,
If the epoxy I have doesn't work, then I will try the glaze.
Weather turned slightly nasty today( down to 41 and sprinkling) so I may wait until tomorrow to go outside.

Oh no! 41 and sprinkling? You better get extra bread, milk and gas... We are forecasted for -15 tonight with winds chills down to -30. Received another foot of snow this past Sunday. I would die for 41 and sprinkling!

Ran out of beer. DW says I already got plenty of gas.

Yeah, its expensive but you can use it to glue the aluminum back to itself, we use it in the aerospace industry, its like having liquid steel, as long as everything is clean you can even use it to bond a patch in the back to reinforce the tear. With the metal glaze, that you can use like bondo, but has no structural value,

vibration
I thought about bondo, but concerned that vibration would make it fall off.
Great idea about bracing the dent from behind.
Can't go outside today, down to 36 with a moist breeze.
