Yes if it didn't have the skylight I would be bending over to take a shower in these trailers.

A sky-light in the shower is a 'bonus/must have' in our case, given DH's height... plus most RV's have few light fixtures in/around the actual shower area.
And, from a female point-of-view, the extra light makes it easier to shave our legs too

Ok, for the tall folks. I'm 5'9" on a good day so don't think about that and although I'm not proud I'm not afraid of the satellite view, the women might be. On 5th wheels why not a sunken shower? That basement can give up some head room. Too many obstructions on the roof for solar.

Usually there is no room for a window in the bathroom, and compared to a window, the skylight provides natural light without giving up privacy. (Is anyone really worried about the "satellite view" given the skylight is made of translucent but not clear plastic?)

It makes perfect sense to me!

Pretty sure its all about ventilation in the most humid portion of the RV. I have always read its a good idea to have the vent open with the fan running while showering. After all, moisture is very bad in an RV.

I have a vent and a skylight in the bathroom. The vent provides ventilation. The skylight does not.

Same for me. I'm 6'2" could not shower without it. If I remember correctly, it is opaque and not clear so you can not see through it anyway.

It is for height as the tubs are on the floor so you have to step up 2-3 inches so they raise the roof. The bathroom should have a vent as well. My TT has high ceilings so we actually have the vent fan in the shower.

Thought same thing...

I wondered why they had the dome in the shower when they already have a vent window in the other part of the bathroom too. I didn't realize the shower was that short.

My complaint is that there is no duct work for the air conditioner so it gets pretty hot in there in Texas when it's 100 degrees. You can burn your hand just touching the sink where the sun has come in. I am going to order one of those rv door cover ups and put it on the ceiling in there to keep some of the heat out. I have some heavy-duty all weather velcro coming. Hope that will keep it from falling down.

Living in the southwest that skylight is a heater in the summer I had to block mine with a solar cover AC never shut off until 10:00 at night. Love it in the winter as it dose help with light and keeps the heating cost down.
