Keep an Eye on It
Festus2,
Good advice to check the supporting hardware regularly.
I am carrying the spare tire, 2 bikes, and a Honda 2000 generator on my cargo tray. (I am under the 200# limit, but not by a lot.) After about 10,000 miles I noticed the wimpy "L" brackets were starting to bend. I had a local welding shop build 2 supporting brackets (one for each side) out of 1/4 inch steel plate. I bolted them to the TT's frame, and now the cargo tray is rock solid. It's not going anywhere!
