A few kitchen mods

Cut out this cutting board to give a little more counter space (drops in the lip around the sink).

Put adjustable shelf in cabinet above sink, kinda a waste to make adjustable cause I never move it. Also added some hooks to hang coffee cups.

More adjustable shelves in pantry - never move these either (but I could).

And some "curtains" I made to cover the kids' bunk openings. Get a little hot if they stay in with it closed but gives em some privacy and hides the junk on their beds during the day. Attaches with Velcro so comes off easy. I also removed their blinds and made some thick (darkening) curtains for their windows because I got tired of hearing their blinds rattle all night when they rolled over.

I like the idea of putting something else over the bunk windows for the same reason you describe. Your bunk area didn’t come with a tall curtain that pulls across the front?

It didn't, no track or anything for one either. The curtain over the windows were very important to me, the ones over the front of the bunks is something the kids wanted.

Your bunk curtain arrangement makes more sense. Since mine are full-height vertical curtains, both bunks get the same amount of curtain at the same time. Maybe when both of my kids are big enough to use the bunks, I’ll mod my curtain setup. Someone else on here has used curtains with magnets sewn into the corners which is probably what I’ll try.

Howdy All;

Those 'bunk curtains' remind me of the curtians we had onboard ship.
Gave us the privacy and helped keep out the light when we wanted to
turn in early.
