If you buy a short bed super duty and a newer camper with rounded corners, you don't NEED a slider hitch. I've been towing a fiver with a short bed super duty for seven years with a fixed hitch and have never hit the cab.

Another Ford F-350 opinion

I’m on my 2nd F-350, a 2017 and 2020. I start out with the Pullrite slider, then switched to the Andersen ISR version and now the puck system Andersen ultimate. My short bed has not been a clearance problem with the last 3 5th wheels.

Auto-slider

I have a buddy that took the rear window out of his 2006 GMC, Duramax, CC, short bed with a 28' Springdale. He did not slide back, and the left front corner got into the window. I got a Demco Auto-slide, and it works great. It clunks pretty bad if you start and stop while turning, and it is a very heavy hitch, (I can't remove it by myself).
