Slide out question!

Hi guys,
I have a 2006 Keystone outback 30rls. I bought it 2 years ago, and was told there’s a slight issue with the slide..

When the slide goes out, the left side extends but the right side doesnt extend until 1 second after,,which means there’s always a slight gap, and the slide hasn’t fully extended.. (right side needs to be extended little more, but since left side is fully extended it can’t!.) Hope that makes sense?!?!

I am based in Europe and would like to know if any of you might know what the issue is? So I and my colleagues could have a try at repairing the problem.. Thank you guys!!

Looking at your pics, I believe it is a “through the frame” type. The side with the ram is what moves the slide. The other side is called the “idler” side.

Two ways of fixing your issue. Look at the mounting hardware on the idler side. You should be able to adjust the tube by loosening up the bracket that holds the slide to it. It’s real early here so I’m trying to get my brain in gear.

You DONT want to loosen the bracket that changes the height of the room, but the one that lets that end move in/out. Using a tape measure, measure from the side wall of the trailer to the flange of the slide. 1/4” off is ok. If that doesn’t work, post back for a different adjustment that involves a bit more work.

Hi!

I get what you mean I think.. You mean loosen the 2 bolts and adjust the slide manually?

Yes. Use the two that go through the square tube, on the NON powered side.

And do the adjustment with the slide 1/2 way out.
