2004 Raptor Black Water Valve Identification

Hello all new to this site. On a recent trip I was attempting to close my black water valve when I noticed that the cable sleeve has broken leaving the valve stuck open. I wanted to replace the valve but i am having trouble identifying it. Here are the best pictures i could get through the small access hole I made. Thanks for your help.

In the event the cable leading to your black tank valve is faulty. Remember the cable can be easy replaced without removing the actual Black Tank Valve. If I understand you, locating the actual valve can be achieved by following the actual cable. ie from the handle to the actual valve.

Bristol

I ended up pulling the cable off and took it to a local shop. The valve is a Bristol and the identifying features is three wavy lines on the bottom and the lack of any other identifying features. The newer cables won’t fit old (05) valves they are bigger now. So I ended up changing the whole valve. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Bristol. The “waves” give it away to us guys that deal with these kind of things.

For the record there are 3 common valves, Valterra
Valterra BladeX
Bristol

You can use a BladeX for either Valterra.
BladeX and Bristol have to be replaced with the same thing.

Sorry I was late to the thread, looks like you got it handled.
