Vent in bottom?

Just finishing removing some unwanted tenants from my 09 Cougar 320SRX. While looking for entry ways underneath, i noticed a 2" round hole next to where the propane pipes go up into the plastic bottom covering.
It has a 2" foil vent hose connected to it.
Anyone know what it is for?
Should i cover it with a wire box mesh?

Where are the batteries? If they are in a closed compartment then the box will be vented top and bottom.

No batteries are up front. This vent is just forward of the front axle on right side.
under furnace or fridge

After further inspection i have come to the conclusion that it is not a vent. The hole is for the propane lines but i think it was cut in the wrong place. Go figure? the vent tube that i see is part of the "polar Package" to keep the tanks from freezing. They just happened to be in the same place. I'll just cover the hole with some 1/4 " box mesh and foam it up.
