How can you tell?

Just bought a 2009 cougar 320. i'm looking to purchase a pullrite hitch. It seems i need a capture plate but i don't know what i have on the trailer. I looked high and low for a plate or something stamped into it but can't see anything. Were all these hitches (king pins) standard?

No they are not standard. There should be a manufacturer stamp and model number somewhere on the pin box. Typically it's stamped into the side of the pin box somewhere. If all else fails, you can figure out what type you have and the measurements and call pull rite with the info and they should be able to figure out what you need.
