Question Landing Gear: Am I the only one?

Am I the only one who didn't know about the two zerk fittings on each leg? Doing a bit of a prep for an upcoming trip and found the buggers today. Dry, I might add. Apparently, not greased by anyone...ever.

10-4!
Mine were painted black - very hard to see. Happened to read a post on here about landing gear binding due to lack of grease. Went out and found the zerks and greased them.

Go inside the front compartment and look at the top of each leg on the forward side. There are two on each leg.

I don't know who makes the legs, but I found this online. It describes the zerk fittings in a similar location to mine and how to grease them.

Mine has the two scissor jacks with a motor on the driver's side running a jackscrew connecting the two jacks. No zerks.

If you do want to lube them use a DRY lube. Anything else will pick up road grime and cause issues.

The

That was my thought. The jackscrew doesn't really carry a load, so I might just keep it clean for now with an occasional dry lube.
