Dometic Furnace SHORT Cycling

Hi, I have an issue I’m hoping to resolve without having to take my trailer to the dealership .

So I own a 2019 Keystone Passport 199 MLWE , after using it just 3 times I noticed that the furnace is short cycling. The fan comes on then the burner for 5 seconds , it then shuts off and repeats 2 more times until the entire system shuts down . I have tried everything , looking for obstructions in the ventilation, running the stove the see if there’s air In the lines , switching over to the 2nd propane tank but nothing is working . Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated ???!!!

Thank you

Dometic Furnace SHORT Cycling

What it’s actually doing after third attempt to going into lock out mode. Could be number of items such as sail switch stuck open , hi limit switch open, or faulty module

After it goes into lockout mode you have to turn thermostat off and back on to reset. Listen outside when first turned on for tell tale snapping sound of DSI sparking.

If it’s actually lighting off and you can see flame then most likely the hi limit switch is opening up thus killing the cycle.

Mine did exactly the same thing. Replaced the control board under warranty and all has been good. In the interim as ChuckS said, powering it down then restarting will let it retry again....if it helps.

Hi Everyone,
Just got my trailer back from the dealership and they ended up replacing the control board and igniter , problem solved and it works great , not to mention it’s now a lot quieter on the inside when the heater comes on . Maybe they added additional insulation? Anyway, I appreciate everyone’s help !!!
