Outback 330RL Duel AC Problem

Hey all!

I hope someone here can enlighten me. We have a 2020 Outback 330RL with 2 AC's that are ducted together. When either is running alone they blow air throughout the camper. Our problem is the front unit pushes more air to the bedroom than it does to the main living area. When just the front unit is running there is twice as much air flow in the bedroom ducts as the living area!
When both AC's are running the bedroom ducts still blow twice as much as the living area. The bedroom gets COLD while the living area struggles to stay below 80

Is there a way to push more living area ac to the living area?

Welcome to the forum

Have you tried closing the “quick dump” on the bedroom AC. You may be able to change the vents to closable ones, forcing more air into the ducts.

Have you removed the ceiling assembly and inspected the ducting at the AC’s ? There may be some loss if the ducts aren’t sealed.

I haven't taken anything apart aside from cleaning the filters and vent covers. It just seems strange that the living room unit pushes more air to the bedroom than the living room. I have considered covering or replacing the bedroom registers to ones that can be closed or possible installing a damper in the track between the units. For now we position a fan in the bedroom door blowing back to the living area. Still the bedroom is a meatlocker but the living area is bearable.

I have the same unit with the same issue. Will keep watching this thread for possible solutions.
