2021 GE 12V fridge freezing

I have a 2021 passport with a ge 12v battery fridge. The fridge freezes up on the inside when the temp gets below 40. Anyone else have this problem. My dealer is saying rv fridge normal temperature is around 40 degrees but mine starts smelling as if things are going bad. When I turn it down to lower the temp the back of the fridge starts freezing up.

I’m a bit confused, in your title you state DOMETIC fridge and then you say it’s a GE 12V fridge. Could be completely different issues.

I fixed the title. I’m not sure what the cause is, but it sounds like your dealer is brushing you off. I would contact GE directly and ask them.
