Alpine 3790FK Power Cord Length

I am picking up our new Alpine 3790KP Wednesday, I am in the process of modifying my pole barn and will need to park it about 65' away from shore power until mods are done. I have a 25' 50 amp extension cord just trying to find out if anyone knows how long the cord on the 5ver is. It has the power retractable type on the left rear so I think that any one that has the same type setup it would/sure be the same.

You will likely have about 30 ft of cord, so you might need two extension cords to reach.

All the retractable cords I have seen are about 25 feet long.

I would make an extension cord so you only have 1 extra set of connections.

Are you plugging into 50amp to run everything, or just 15amp to run lights? I use a heavy duty regular extension cord and the 50amp to 15amp pigtail on the 50amp cable.

Actually I only have 30 amp service where I have to hook up and was gonna use 30-50 amp adapters. I do have a have a heavy duty 15 amp cord that I could use but, would prefer not to. I will call Keystone tomorrow and find out for sure on the length. I will probably just buy a 30 amp cable for the length that I need.

If you only have 30 amp available and will need that long of a run then buy a 30 amp extention. It will be lighter and easier to work with. I doubt a 5' differencebis going to "make or break" your sucess. If that "about 65' away" is a straight line you'll most likely need about another 10' of cable to go from the plugs on each end to the recepticals as those cables won't suspend like a string line. Some slack will be required from plug and cable reel to ground to prevent undo strain.

I don't know if Keystone actually puts that cable in there or not? My last trailer came with a 36' cable if I remember correctly. When I went to pick this one up there was a box in the pass through with a new 25' cable in it. It had previously been powered up for walk through etc. so they were using their own cables I assume. I had just put a brand new 36' cable in the last trailer and wanted no less. I asked their walk through "prep" guy if I could get a longer one. He said he didn't know; "that's what we are putting in all of them" - assuming dealership. I took the one from my old trailer and pitched the box with the new 25' cable in the pass through of the old trailer. So it may be that the dealer puts the cable in.

I talked to a friend and he has a 25' 30 amp cable that he said I can borrow until I get done with the the mods on my pole barn so I should be able to reach with no problems.

👍 You were right the cable was 36' and with the borrowed 30 amp cable and the one I had I ended up with about 6' to spare with all 3 connected together.

I'm a little late to this party but ...
The cord, fully stretched, is not longer than the rig, so my guess is between 30 and 40 feet total length
Only once in the last 6 months has that length been an issue
