I really like this Telescoping Extension ladder
After reading about these telescoping extension ladders on here, I decided to try one out. I selected the following one, primarily due to its 330 lb load limit:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PWJN28N (I see it's currently unavailable - I hope that's not a bad sign )
I have to say, I'm really impressed with this ladder. It flexes quite a bit, as I expected with all the sections, so I just need to use it at less of an angle than I would another ladder, but I can still get up and not feel like I'm going to tip backwards.
The coolest feature is how it retracts. You just flip two slides at the base and each section starts coming down, one at a time. As each section gets to about 5 inches of being down, it hits some (air?) resistance and the rest of the retraction of that section is slower. I assume this is to prevent you from getting your fingers smashed.
Best of all, it's lightweight and quiet, and can be stored almost anywhere.
I was going to keep it in the trailer, but now I think I'll keep it at the house and just take it with us when we go to the trailer

Got one, love it for cleaning off the roof before putting the slide in!

I have one too, it works great for clearing off the slide and getting on the roof if I need to.
I like that it fits in the pass through and in the back of my truck.
Nice avatar pic btw

Two "significant, potential issues" with this type ladder:
1. It's a "finger pincher" and could be a "finger smasher" if you collapse it improperly.....
2. The locking tabs that hold the rungs in extension are plastic and can be cracked/broken if the ladder is handled roughly. Use caution when extending the ladder, when climbing the rungs and when collapsing the ladder, taking care not to stress or damage the locking tabs. Nothing is worse than being 6' off the ground, stepping up one rung and having that rung suddenly "slide rapidly down to the next rung !!!!! BTDT !!!!!

I will likely be getting one soon. Adding one to the TT is also an option but less versatile.
Many similar options on Amazon.

Be very careful also that the feet of the ladder are on a surface that is not slick from water or ice. The pads on ours are a hard plastic that isn’t very grippy on wet pavement. Had our ladder slide out from under me once, and fortunately I was able to walk away from that incident.

Buddy has one - about 5 years old. Holding up very well.
I'd consider it if mine wasn't on back wall

I have had one of the telescoping 12.5' ladders for a number of years and only issue is that the plastic thumb releases get sticky on some of the rungs and are hard to depress. Probably in need of some silicon.

Neighbour two trailers over has a telescopic ladder. Personally, I don't like it. I could borrow it anytime I needed it.
I would not use it IMO.
I bought an MT17 by WERNER, 300 lb capacity.
If memory serves me right, it was $200 , at Lowes.

I have one similar. Mine is super heavy, at least twice what I replaced it with. Your length would not reach the top of my RV. Watch out for rain, if it gets in the legs while extended it is very difficult to push the water out. At some point those 'cool' retract latches start to fail and lot's of bad stuff can happen. YMMV, FYI.

And I also have one of the Telescoping ladders and find it very useful and not too heavy to bring along. Also I am 300lbs and it holds me fine.

I bought a 3, 6 foot section extension ladder from HomeDepot for our RV a few years ago and like its lot.

I have the 16ft ladder, tall enough to have a handle above the roofline when getting up on the roof to clean.
Be warned there is some flexing and sway when fully extended, but it works well and is very compact when collapsed.
Much more piece of mind then the narrow rear ladder, I don’t trust that one bit!

I don't like a straight ladder leaning on the RV. I bought the a frame 7 ft that folds up to the size of a 4x4 timber and fits in the cross storage compartment, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009IJUL4O..._LXHKFbY5H4TC8
I have had it since 2008 and has been used by someone every time I go camping

I have the same ladder and love it....for what it can do. I have not, and cannot, use it to check sealant on the roof. I use a 10' A frame ladder in the storage building for that, the 7' is barely high enough to clean the tops of the slides but in no way gets to the top of the trailer. I won't use the RV ladder because they are cheap and attached poorly. So, in the absence of the folding 10' ladder, I carry the telescoping ladder (Lion Ladder) with the soft rubber feet on top to check the sealant on top when traveling. I wish there was a better, one size fits all solution, but I've not found it.
