I have one but it only saves .08 cents a gallon so I find mom and pop stores in my area and get a much better price. On one of the roads we travel there is an Alsups fuel station across the highway from a Pilot and they advertise their diesel about .30 cents less than the Pilot. Most of the independent truckers do business there, and the locals.

Checkout TSD Logistics I have one of their cards. I use it for those times that the only option is to stop at a Truck Stop. It gives big discounts. https://www.getawaycouple.com/tsd-logistics-fuel-card/

We had diesel available here in Virginia. Everything else shut down. Sheetz shut all their gas pumps down immediately. They didn't have time to sell out. As everyone else ran out of gas, they started opening pumps. I can't figure out if it was a good move or a bad one. We topped off our gas vehicles and drove the truck. I work in NY, so told them I had to work at home on Monday. It takes me 3 tanks of gas to get up there and back and I wasn't going to put the mileage on my truck.
We are taking the trailer out memorial day. Until the come up with an electric vehicle that can tow a 15k trailer, my diesel is not going anywhere.

Boomer alert! There were several oil shortages in the seventies. The Arab Oil Embargo. Tankers were cruising at sea until prices went up and then headed for the refineries. At the time with three channels on TV and no internet the average American had limited media exposure to feed their hysteria.

We need to pray for the people. None of this will effect Joey, Nancy, or Chucky

Good afternoon folks , We are considering a trip to SC this week to visit my brother who is starting Chemo and Radiation treatments in a couple days and really can’t put this trip off . We’re going to take the diesel TV but no trailer.Just wondering about fuel availability in SC and North Georgia
I can top off here in south Alabama and go about 450 miles before I start to get nervous

^^What I hear and see on media is that diesel is much more available than gasoline.
Maybe put a 5 gallon tank in the bed of your truck, well secured.

Sorry to hear about your brother. If it were me making the trip I would map out a route and pick a town/area close where you anticipate stopping. Enter that info into the Gas Buddy App and see what's available. Now they list stations closed and what, if any fuels they are out of. Safe travels.

Thank you !
I am considering a couple yellow cans secured in the bed of the truck for insurance before we leave

I checked GasBuddy but when I search that area it says that that area has been hit by a natural disaster and information may be unreliable.

We made it to SC with no problem. Didn’t see bags on diesel pumps till we got here
Hopefully we’ll get lucky and not have issues getting home Saturday
