Unidentified switch copper canyon 294fwdb

Hi guys!

We just bought a Copper Canyon sprinter 294fwdb 2006. The seller didnt remember what that switch was for and I dont want to annoy him.

The top ones are for the light outside and the light inside, but we canít figure out what the bottom one is for! Please help!!

There is an electric switch outside the water heater so I dont think its that, and why would it be located there if it was a switch to electrically turn on the wtr heater... also the awning is manual si its not that!

Thanks!

The upper pair of switches are for the outside light and the inside light. You have an older fifth wheel with a set up much like mine. There is an orange light next to the door. There is also a large round light up over the passenger side above the bedroom. I suspect it operates that light. There is a good chance the bulb is burned out but you may want to check before a new bulb.

Yes, the top ones are for that. One for outside one for inside. But what about the bottom one? Do you have one also? We are looking for this specific one!!

Turn all the switches on. Look at all lights inside anmd out. If you find one that's not illuminated then check the bulb.

On most trailers from around 2005 - 2014 or 15, there was a "yellow clearance light" mounted to the frame rail, in the area where the steps fold up for storage.
That light is "down in the rain" with every tow and the bulb is notorious for getting wet and cracking or for corrosion on the socket. When that happens, the light stops working (even though the switch works well)...

Even if it's not "a step light, more likely it's the bulb burned out in the fixture that switch controls, and that's why the switch doesn't illuminate a specific light fixture. "Flip the switch" all day long, if the bulb doesn't work, you'll never "see the light" even though the switch is working perfectly...

Now, it becomes an "Easter egg hunt" to find which fixture has the burned out bulb.....

We did check all the bulbs and replaced them with LED. They are all working fine unless its a hidden one, but we were 3 people looking to find one. They were all open and we tried to switch off the switch on the wall, it didnt do anything. Im pretty confident all the bulbs are fine at this point as they all turn on manually. Its very strange!

We might figure it out this summer while camping! Sometimes the answer comes to us without looking specifically for it!
