To be honest, with the valve stem sensors it doesn't matter what pressure, the rubber valve stems are not adequate. Believe me with the rubber stems you'll be adding valve stems now or later, but later it may be after you've put the spare on along side the highway when the rubber one split.
If you have a good tire dealer you may get them to install with the purchase of the stems, they should not have to dismount the tire to install.

I also believe like sourdough the TST 507 is the better one. I had the old black and white one first but now i have the colored one and it works great. I have been using the TST since 2008 on my first 5th wheel. My cousin has a tire minder and it has been nothing but trouble.

I'm going to order the 507 in about 10 days to be delivered to a state park in Virginia. Crossing fingers.
Will the monitor run on a battery? Are batteries included for the monitor and the sensors?
edit...I see the monitor will run on a battery.

Decision made. Now just timing on Amazon delivery and when we will be in the state park. State park is good with accepting deliveries.
Disc brakes next. That should about do it.

I got the TST delivered to the state park. A couple days later I had some time to work on setting it up. Charged the monitor for 5+ hours. Tried to program it but couldn't see the numbers well enough to finish. Yesterday I called tech support and got it programmed. Told them I couldn't see any of the numbers unless I went into a totally dark room. They said Amazon has a shade kit. I installed the sensors and mounted the monitor using their suction cup mount. Turned it on this morning as we left the campground. Going down the road I could see the tire locations occasionally blinking but I couldn't read any of the numbers. Got settled into a campground and looked on Amazon for the shade and couldn't find it. Obviously getting frustrated. Anyone had similar issues?

Is this what you are looking for?

I've had some trouble at times reading the numbers depending on the location of the sun. I've tilted the monitor down to try to avoid as much light as possible and I've got the color monitor but I'm going to order one of these to see if they work if they will fit on the suction cup.

^I assume that's it. We left Lexington, KY this morning and drove in heavy rain to Nashville. So heavy that I put my sunglasses on. Maybe there was just too much "white" for the monitor, but I could only see maybe one of the LED segments on a couple digits.
We should be home Sunday and I'll call TST Monday and see if they will sell me one.

Polarized sunglasses can make it hard to see some screens..I have the black and white monitor,I was going to get the color one but I think I will keep what I have.. it’s easy to see the black and white/ monochrome screens

Brent Jasin1 brought up a good point. Some of my sunglasses literally obscure different screens from me so maybe that had a hand in it?

I have had a TPMS system for about 6 years now. They are great "IF" you have a pressure leak but, if you have a tire that is separating but is not losing air they are useless. I am speaking from experience on more then one occasion, luckily I have had no severe damage done, worse thing that happened was the slapping separation broke the weld on one of my jack pads, good thing there was no one behind me.. People that put em on and think they got it covered are in for a rude awaking. As a matter of fact a buddy of mine just last week had tire separate and did a lot of damage to his under carriage. He said his TPMS showed no problem with the tire even after the separation it was still holding air. I was at his house yesterday when FedEx delivered 4 new Saliun S637"s. Also as was noted in a previous post make sure you have metal valve stems again I am speaking from experience.
On a side note my friend has a Grand Design Solitude and it has Westlake tires on it he said he had about 3000 miles on em.

That could be an issue. I wear prescription Ray Ban polarized sunglasses. I think my regular glasses are also polarized and auto darkening.
I'll experiment.

I have 2 sets of prescription sunglass, an "old" pair for working outside and a "new" pair if just out walking or relaxing. The "new" pair works well enough with LCD screens, the "old" pair won't allow me to see a lcd screen. LED screens don't seem to be effected.

My "old" auto darkening glasses work well in the sun but in the truck the windows block enough UV light that they won't darken. That's when I bought the prescription sunglasses for driving. I only need glasses for reading to I get the graduated lenses. They work well for driving as I know where to look thru them to focus on the instruments/guages.

My 15 year old Oakley's do make it difficult to see the screen on the 507 Color but I can't see my miles to go on my dash with them either...

Interesting. I'll try tomorrow with no glasses.

Brent I talked to TST and they are sending me a shade cover for mine (paying for it) and I'll let you know what it does. It will be a bit because my trailer is in the shop.

We left Tom Sawyers this morning and I turned the monitor on. Nothing happening. I drove with no glasses for awhile, couldn't see the tires blinking or any values on the monitor. I did see a couple segments of a digit.
I'll call them Monday. Either it's not programmed right or I have a dud.

Yup, sounds like a call for a warranty claim is in order. Hopefully they will make it right quickly. The little interaction I've had with them has been quick and freindly. travel safe.
