Air Conditioning in Alpine 3640RL

I have 2 A/C units in my 5th Wheel Alpine 3640RL: one in the bedroom and one in living area. The one in the bedroom works fine, but the one in the living area just blows hot air (and I operate them separately as I don't have enough amps for both at the same time) - any idea what could be wrong? Thank you!

Since the Alpine is a 50 amp feed HOW are you powering the FR A/C unit? Is the compressor running?

I take it you mean you are on 30 amps and just running one at a time...

Is this an In Command controlled Alpine or Dometic CCC2 dual zone thermostat?

When we fired up the compressor it ran for a little while and then stopped but we were running both units and supplying power with a 10KW generator which only gives us under 40 amps, we realized we can therefore only run one at a time, which we've done, but the one in living room doesn't work. thanks for your help!

Where are you getting your information that a 10kw generator gives you "under 40 amps"?

We do see the hourglass and it stays on and on then disappears and the compressor does not kick in. Wondering if we fried the startup capacitor or the relay connected to it...It's a 2011 Alpine 3640RL with bedroom in front. Very much appreciate your help.

Since you are on 30 amp service and running one at a time is this an In Command Alpine or do you have the Dometic CCC2 dual zone thermostat?

When you turn ZONE 1 to Cool and fan on Auto there is about a 2 minute delay for compressor to turn on.. You should see and "Hour Glass" symbol showing on the CCC2 display until you hear compressor kick in..

Does this occur? DO you see the hourglass? If yes but compressor doesn't kick on what Year Alpine?

I own a 2014 3010RE .. Rear A/C is 15K heatpump and BR is 13.5K...

Hello to all,

We are living in our Keystone Alpine while building our house. Last year, we installed solar panels etc., unfortunately: our inverter "blew out". We are looking for a replacement: Outback 8048 inverter. If anyone in this group has any thoughts, recommendations: greatly appreciated

Sir, Since the title of this thread is A/C related and you seem to have that in hand, a new and separate thread regarding the inverter issue seems wise and would like garner more responses. You might want to explain what "blew out" means relative to the inverter as well. Good luck!

Hi,

Thanks for the tip but I'm not very familiar with this forum and not quite sure on how to do this. Also: I know it sounds strange but I'm French and my name: Laurence is actually a female name...

My humble apology. I am a Texan and don't speak foreign languages such as English or French; only Texan. I am really sorry as I didn't look at your profile. We say ma'am in Texas....
