Water heater brand and anodes
Does anyone have a 2018 Cougar 27SAB? I’m not near mine and need to know what brand of water heater is installed in it. I need to purchase the water heater anode and need to know which one to buy. Can anyone help me out?

Only the Suburban use an anode. The only difference is the material, aluminum or Magnesium. Aluminum lasts longer, magnesium "works" better. You can get one online, or Home Depot, or any RV parts counter.

If you KNOW that the water heater has an anode AND that it's the OEM water heater, it's a Suburban water heater. All Suburban RV water heaters have a "porcelainized steel water tank" and require an anode. Any RV service center/parts house will have the anode in stock.
The "other brand water heater" is an Atwood and it has an aluminumized water tank and does not require an anode.
So, if you're sure your water heater has an anode, it's a Suburban. If you're unsure, there's no need to buy a replacement until you know it needs changing and then, if it does, you can buy one at virtually any RV store.

There are different lengths and thread sizes.
I know, let’s make this more confusing. Your looking for 3/4” threads and 9.25” long

Your Suburban water heater will use a Suburban 232767 anode, which is the magnesium rod.
