Cargo Carrier Question

Hi all. I have a 17' Cougar 33MLS and would like to attach some kind of cargo carrier on the square bumper for light stuff that won't go in the internal storage (grills, folding table, etc...). Am I going to have to rig something up or do they sell those for the square bumpers? I thought the bumper was for the sewer hose storage, but it's too small.

Using the square tube bumper for much more than sewer hose storage is asking for trouble. If you look, you’ll see it only has a couple cheesy welds holding it onto the trailer. Your much better off and it’s much safer to have a receiver attached to the frame.

If your still in the factory warranty period, check your owners manual as some “modifications” can void the frame warranty.

The bumper will not hold the Rhino sewer hoses nor will it hold up to ANYTHING attached to it, so only mount things to it you won't mind leaving along the highway.

I have a 33MLS 2019 and it came with a rear receiver that is connected to the frame rated for 300 #. If you copy the setup should work the same.
