These videos make my head hurt F250vsF350

Very entertaining video. The guy gives complete justification to ignore the GVWR.

He doesn't know as much as he thinks he does. Besides, It was hard watching a guy with a Bieber haircut and birkenstock sandals doing a truck review. (((((shivers))))

Yeah. This guy is way off target here.
I put the spring package he recommended on my Yugo and it didn't work.
Video proof!

Come on Javi!
He knows the sticker doesn't matter!
He knows he knows he is replacing the springs to lift the truck>
He knows he is going to put a camper in the bed.

He doesn't know that lifting a truck sand putting a camper in the bed makes for a top heavy package.

There's lots of these folks that have been rving for 15 minutes that learn something new, probably from a forum like this, then suddenly they're experts making how-to Utube videos with some that didn't pay close enough attention to what they were told & posting bad information, like this guy further confusing those just starting rving.

YouTube has some very informative and useful videos. Unfortunately, it's also a platform that connects the gullible with the fools and the deceivers. Trust those that have earned the trust and look at the rest with scepticism. JMHO

I would like to know too .. he saying the chassis and axles the same .. is the brake rigging bigger? .. I just traded in my f250 diesel for a 350 because GVWR is 11500 giving me a little more payload capacity

Who is "he"? Is "he" a true authority?

I put no credence in this sort of thing. Anyone can put videos on sites like that and I'll bet if you go there and search for aliens, bigfoot, the tooth fairy, and Kraken you'll find video "evidence" for each.

That's what I'm saying, but some don't look at that, the only thing is the yellow door jamb sticker.
If a Toyota Hilux had a sticker that said 3000 lbs. PL would you pull a 5th wheel with it?

Yup...and every thread discussing towing and weight will yield believers of drivel like the video, including users in this thread.
  • Hint #1: it's usually a user with a 1/2 or 3/4 ton tow vehicle pulling a 14K fifth wheel and trying to find evidence that his rig is actually ok, even though it is likely overloaded.
  • Hint #2: look for derogatory references to the "weight police" - that's another sign of hitting a raw nerve.
The truth is out there, and it is reasonably easy to find and determine for someone who really wants to know. For many of us, it was a process undertaken over several years and likely involving several RV rigs. Hopefully, information available in places like this forum will shorten up the learning curve for new users. But ultimately, users are either committed to adhering to manufacturers ratings and DOT requirements, or they consider these to be "guidelines" for which they know better and of which they choose to ignore. I for one choose the former - it makes any future investigation at an accident site much easier for the state police.
