Just getting started in the RV life
Hi all. I picked up a 2011 Laredo 321BH, needs some work and cosmetic updates but we're hoping to go full time with 3 kids soon.
Looking forward to getting a zillion questions answered!

Just bought a 2021 passport 199mlwe. Why done it cost so much to hook up a furion backup camera? $400? Crazy. Having solar put on and find out it’s $ 400 for a 6 volt AGM? Ok advice?

Vigilante... Nice to have you..
Dallas, Nice of you to join but really should do a separate intro not a reply to Vigilante's.... but nice to have you too...
Dallas I'm confused as to what advise you expect to get reference the cost of items you seek to obtain? Or maybe I just read it wrong...

Welcome to the forum
$400 probably includes the camera and monitor.
Depending on size, AGM batteries can cost more.

Vigilante welcome and ask away.
Dallas2, I agree on you should introduce yourself and ask a question unrelated to the OP (original post) in a separate post. This is called "hijacking a post" and is not good etiquette. Now with that said, have you done a search on the model camera and battery that you were quoted? A simple search on the internet will reveal the going rates for just about anything you can imagine. Then of course, you must add labor and some percentage mark up on the parts or items that the dealer is supplying, they are after all in the business to make money.
Keep in mind that you can purchase items off the internet cheaper for several reasons. First, when you are surfing the net it's your time, a dealer must pay someone. When you purchase off the net it's your money, a dealer has to use their capital. If the dealer keeps said item in stock then they have a capital investment setting on the shelf an must pay an employee salary & benefits to keep inventory and most likely also must pay and inventory tax as well. I'm, not defending the dealer but only trying to answer your "why" question.
