Anyone tow with a mild lifted super duty?

Ok, so I love the way my 16 F350 PSD tows but I also love the look of these trucks with a mild (4" with 35's) lift. I am afraid that if I lift, I will not like how it tows compared to stock. Anyone out there towing with this kind of setup? If so would you do it again and how is the towing experience and mpg compared to stock?
I checked the other diesel truck forums but 90% of these guys don't tow so I couldn't find much experience feedback.

I've never towed with a super duty, but I have towed with other lifted trucks. 4" isn't bad, but obviously will require a drop shank. One thing you would want to consider is your tire load rating. A 35" flotation tire will have a pretty tall sidewall, they are available in E load rating, but I'd be concerned about sidewall flex.

I don't think you'd see much difference on fuel mileage with the diesel, but you will need to get the computer flashed for the new size or you'll have problems with the shift points, speedo, and ABS.

Thanks for the reply. Did you feel the truck felt more unstable towing when lifted vs a stock truck?

A little, but I wasn't towing as heavy back then. If I were going to lift a truck again, I'd probably go to a 19" wheel and use metric tires so I can have a shorter sidewall.

As much as I love the look of the lift, I think I've convinced myself to just keep it as is and my money in my pocket. I am so confident with the way it tows now it doesn't make sense really to spend over $7k just for looks and possibly create unnecessary problems. Thanks for the info!

You're welcome. I think you have made the right choice. I'm lucky, I took that equation out when I bought the dually. I don't like the look of any after market dually wheel. Some of the rear wheels look great, but I think all of them look terrible on the front so I won't waste my money on them. Lifting, different wheels and tires, is no longer an option. This is the first truck I've owned that has ever remained stock appearing. I still get the bug from time to time and look at options (modifying trucks is addictive), but I always back out and leave it as is.
