Picked up a new truck.

We went and pulled the trigger on a new truck over the weekend, 2016 Ram 3500 Dually, 6.7 Cummins, 6 speed manual with the Laramie Package. Here are a few pics.

So far we are very excited, with any luck we will get the rails installed for the 5th wheel later this week. Then let the camping begin.

I wanted the 6 Speed manual. I learned to drive on a manual YEARS ago and hauling the 5th wheel I just felt that I will have better control overall. Also with the exhaust brake activated and the ability to downshift as needed helps to bring the rig to a stop. I did learn in the first couple of minutes test driving the truck that 1st gear will only be used while towing though. So in reality it is a 6 speed, but during normal driving it's like having a 5 speed.

I really liked the G56 manual that was in my '05 - but didn't like the 4.10 rear end. 75mph=2900 rpm It is pretty well bomb proof though, never gave me a single hiccup.

Very nice and I am a Ford guy. That new grill and front end they have is the best looking, in my opinion on any Dodge/Ram.

Great looking truck...congrats!! I would like the 6 speed also...more driver control in my opinion being a former trucker. Can you shift these without the clutch or all the gears synchronized without having to double clutch or anything like that?
