Smile Water Heater Drains

Does anyone know why there is two drains coming from the water heater? I've looked on line with out any success and I paruved the forum pages also but did not see a thread on it.

Jim, There shouldn't be any drains from the water heater other than removal of the anode rod. Perhaps on your model the low point drains for the rest of the water system are near the W/H and this is what you are seeing. They should be two PEX tubes with caps on the end coming through the under-belly. One hot and one cold.

Thumbs up Drains

Thanks Hank, That has to be what they are and I never gave that a thought. It was just kind of funny that they are located directly under the water heater. Everything is sealed and covered so you can't really tell where they are going or coming from. Low point drains, that makes since.
