Any reason I shouldn't

Any reason I shouldn't wire my new 80 amp converter directly to the batteries with 2 AWG cable so I can move it closer to the batteries and to a more accessible place.

And then use 6 AWG back to the WFCO power distribution center from the batteries.. I'm a little concerned about 6 AWG carrying 80 amps 25 feet.. but it should easily carry the 12 volt load of the LED lights and appliances in the trailer that distance...

I can't understand using 6 AWG instead of at least 4 AWG for that distance.. Keystone did put a 75 amp converter in the trailer...

I don't see any downside as long as you have a sufficiant 120vac source that's approximately protected (circuit breaker) and correct wire size.

Not sure what you mean by "killing the plug", do you mean hardwired.? The breaker and wire size for that run should be fine.

There is a plug in the back of the distribution panel that is wired to the breaker (KILLING IT) would be removing the wires and disabling it and using the breaker for my plug..
