Exclamation Need to clean TPO for patch with something at hand

About 12 hours before hitting the road, I discovered a tree scrape on the roof that went through the membrane. It's small, and I have some Eternabond, but I'd need to clean the membrane before adhesion. I don't have time to go out and find a specialty cleaner. I saw a YouTube video that suggested denatured alcohol, but others say no alcohol on TPO. Is there something I can use for this job that I'm likely to have on hand?

Simple green, Fantastik come to mind. Eternabond will adhere to a clean surface. Any good cleaner and then make sure it’s dry.

Thanks. I found some Mr. Clean spray that seems to have done the trick. Wasn't sure whether to use leveling or non-leveling caulk around the patch, so I went with non-leveling so it wouldn't ooze away from the joint.

Repair should be permanent for you.. I would have used self leveling on th flat surface but non sag will do just fine..

Hope you remembered to use a roller and put some pressure on the tape while rolling to activate the adhesive on the tape..

Also never use mineral oil on the TPO.. last tape I applied I used some dawn dish soap and water and a bucket .. I was resealing the slide out out four inch area .. about a 12 foot long piece of new Eternabond tape over the old after fixing some screw heads that backed out on the slide roof

I didn't use a roller, because the guy on the KOA video didn't say anything about that – he just used his hands and kneaded it for a long time.

I know I'm a "overkill" sort of person but I keep a roll of eternabong tape, a hand roller, and an aerosol can of Eternabong cleaner in a box. You never know when one of those evil trees may reach out and claw the roof.
