Dometic Fridge cycling

My Dometic fridge seems to not be getting cold. The freezer is working fine. I can hear a humming noise from the back of it that is cycling on and off. I have checked and it is doing it with either propane or electric and also unplugged it from the back. I have checked the fuses and they are good. What could be making the noise?

It is model CU826E

Is your fridge in a slide?

If so the "humming" is probably the fans that are meant to be moving the hot air out of the back of the compartment.

Make sure all of them are working.

Cooling fans, mounted in a position to "blow the hot air up and out" of the space behind the refrigerator. They aid in keeping the circulation of air moving behind the refrigerator, making it more efficient and helping it cool better.

How long have you left it on? Is it an “automatic temperature” unit?

If it is, open the fridge section and look at the right side fin. There should be temp probe in the plastic slider and it should be about 1/2 way up.

Auto temp refers take up to 24 hours to reach operating temp in the fridge portion.

Yes it is on the slide of my Impact 361. It sounds like a fan but I cannot see them with the side panels off on the outside.

The temp probe was off when I cleaned it out when I got home on Sunday. i replaced it yesterday and it has been running for over 24 hours and the fridge is still not cooling and the sound is still there. How can I see the fans? When I removed both panels I could not see them.

I do live in southeast Texas and is has been very hot here.

The fans are mounted to the back of the fridge below the upper cooling fins. You would have to pull the fridge out to see them without using a mirror. I’d your fridge a 4 door model? If so check the flapper on the left door making sure it turns and seals across both doors.

It is the 2 door model. I have checked the seals and one on the inside of the door is creased a little. I plan on fixing that.

Will adding an additional fan to the outside help in the meantime until I can pull the fridge and replace the fans?
