Sorry for not replying sooner. On the road with the RV taking in different state fairs.

When I turn off my inverter, I don’t wait and look at the display. I just push the power button and walk away.

I was out at my trailer and found out that I had left the inverter on by mistake over the past 2 days....the batteries would always be fine due to my solar and the lack of load. But I just confirmed what you are experiencing. The Xantrex XC went into a 'sleep mode' and will NOT turn back on. I toggled the battery switch it didn't wake it up. I had to plug in my 120v from the house and toggle the inverter breaker (it was off) to wake it up.


I then went through it to confirm that the 'on/off' button on the unit will turn it on/off as well as the remote I installed in the trailer.


I did not confirm if the 'ignition option' will wake it up out of sleep mode.

I agree there has to be a way. I won't be able to fool with it for a couple of weeks as I will be traveling on business... When it goes into this mode, the screen on the unit as well as the remote is dark/inactive. Once I activated it (energizing my breaker panel) then I tested turning it off with the button at the unit and on/off at the remote control unit. Both of these went dark after a few seconds. (I had turned off the breaker in my panel so there was no 120v coming in)



When turning them back on, the panel would light up and then go into "inverter mode" (generating AC). Turning them back off and then putting the breaker back on it would go into "charging mode" / bulk mode and then after a 10 sec or so realize the batteries are fully charged and change modes. (whatever they call the maintenance modes)

I talked to their tech support and this is what works.

Ok. Once I unplugged the remote I could wake it up at the main box power button. Turn off then back on again.
I also found out I can wake it up if I leave the main box power off. I can turn it on and off and wake it up with the remote console.
And it's the Xantrex Freedom 2000 X.
