I’ll bet anything you have a 2200 watt generator you could use for short maintenance projects.

I'm on a slope as well, the rear of the trailer is about 15' past the front of the garage and that's where my yard levels off

Thank you everyone for your comments. Many have asked to see a liink to the device I am using. The manufacturer is Valterra Products. Their website is www.valterra.com. It is a 12 inch generator adaptor cord, brand name is “Mighty Cord”. I’ve attached photos of the packaging for your reference.

My understanding is the 30 amp 240 v side is a 4 prong connector: 1 ground, 1 neutral, and 2 hot at 120 v each, to make 240 v. The other end is a 30 amp, 3 prong, 120 v standard trailer connector. It simply passes only one of the two hot 120 v wires thru, so only 120 v passes thru to the trailer.

I bought a 50’ 30 amp rv extension cord also. So my final power run is as follows:

- 4 prong dog bone plugged into house outlet, other end plugged into surge protector.
- 50’ extension cord plugged into surge protector ans the rv power cord
- rv power cord plugged into the rv

I ran this setup all weekend including the ac with no issues

As far as the distance...echoing what was stated above, you won't run into restrictions or excessive voltage drop until you are in the 150-200' range and then you just up the wire size.
This, as Jester described above, is exactly what I have. one end is a 4 wire, that plugs into the 30 amp 240 v outlet. The other end is a three prong TT-30 , 30 amp, 120 volt. This connector simply passes only one of the two 120 v hot wires thru, while still using the existing ground and neutral wires.

I apologize for not responding sooner, but I do check back when I ask a question. I used the above configuration all last weekend at home, including running the AC, with no issues at all.
