Yeah California.
It wasn't my intention to raise the hackles of our good friends from Cali. This was more along the lines of a CW report as i found it interesting and the reaction of the CW CEO was interesting. There seems to be many businesses fleeing Cali for one reason or the other and I can't imagine any entity of their govt at any level hassling a big business entity for some reason like a flag/flagpole. I have not lived anyplace I know of with a bunch of ordinances so can't comment there. If I want to put up a 2000' flagpole on my property, no one in Medina County Texas would give a hoot. I would need to talk to the missus as my construction skills are somewhat questionable.

George if I was to propose a 2000' flagpole on the property to Susan.....well, I figure I'm afraid to think about those consequences.

One of the things I like about CW flags and why they are there is the way Marcus Lemonis feels about them. I know there's probably some PR/sales hype in there too but he really is adamant on the flags. An excerpt from another article that quoted him:

"Lemonis, who immigrated to the U.S. from Lebanon, is a staunch defender of the flag and has been involved in similar standoffs with local authorities around the country. He told Fox News as far back as 2019 that he'd rather get locked up than shrink the scale of his patriotic displays.

"When veterans show up at the stores for the flag-raisings, and when they come on Saturdays and do their veteran rides, and they weep at the bottom of the flag pole, that's the conviction that I need to say it's just not going to come down," he said. "I would rather go to jail."

Your post did not throw an intentional slight toward CA. Some of the commentary veered that way though. It's unfortunate we've become so polarized these days. Heck, I've got family and good friends there so gotta be as nice as possible. Besides, Dirty Harry/Clint Eastwood lives there....

As a lifelong resident of Calif, I can say that the term “left coast” is fitting in the “thinking” and yes lots of business’ and residents have “left the coast”.

Family keeps me here.
