I have a 15k AC and a smaller one with a softstart I run this ac with the following generator as well as a 15A circuit (although wired with 12ga) at my house without problem. https://a.co/d/8G9ShIL

When running the 15k AC I can not run the generator in "eco mode". When running the other it is fine.

Keep in mind that it isn't the running amps that you have to worry about, it is the starting amps that is the issue. Depending on your AC, your fan and compressor can start at the same time and easily draw close to 28A. Multiply that times 2 units and you could easily unintentionally stress/overload something. Unfortunately, that something is often the electronics in the AC unit.

With a soft start, my 15k Furrion starts the air circulation fan first, which draws 3.4A, then the condenser fan starts adding another 3.4A, then the compressor kicks in with a total system draw peaking at about 15A (compared to almost 29A without the soft start) before settling down to a running draw of 14.3A continuous for all three components running together. I am not trying to sell you a soft start, but it costs a heck of a lot less than a major AC repair.
