Possible slide issue?
Closing camper up yesterday to head home. When closing the kitchen slide, the bottom started to move but top of slide didn’t. Like it was stuck. Finally it started to move. Anything I need to check or do? Did notice the rubber piece that goes in or out with slide wasn’t folding in all the way on top of slide. I applied conditioner on these rubber pieces back in March. Maybe I need to apply again.

Hi,
The slide on my 2013 21RBSWE has operated like you describe since day 1 when I bought it new. The slide out does not go in or out "Square".... the top or bottom will move first then after ~ 10inch of travel the entire unit will move in or out depending on operation.
Has it always operated like this or is this new?

Just noticed it yesterday. Just acted like it was stuck and broke loose. Ours is a 2018 367FLS.

How long was the slide in the out position before you retracted it? Sometimes with several days (or more) the seals will stick together and it takes a bit of force for them to break apart....
So, have you done any "seal maintenance" on the inner bulb seals around the flange of that slide? If so, what did you use to lubricate/dress them? If not, they may be dirty and sticky, so you need to clean and "dress" them with a slide conditioner.

Watch what you put on those seals. I took a trailer in for warranty work for sticking slides once. The SM came out with a spray can of "seal conditioner" they sell at CW (red and blue can?) and sprayed my seals liberally. The next morning I could barely get the slide in/out. Felt the seals and they felt like they had glue on them. Got the can he used (he gave it to me), sprayed it on my fingers and it was like a thick brown liquid. Worked it between my fingers for a bit and sure enough it began to get thicker. Needless to say I then spent quite a bit of time cleaning all the gunk off and putting 303 on them....problem solved.

Back in March I used these on slides and seals. Maybe I didn’t use enough.

Are either of those products thick/gooey or seem as if they might get that way when dry? I've not used either of them.
As John mentioned you need to make sure all the seals (inner/outer) have been cleaned thoroughly then put a conditioner on them.
I don't know what the history is on your slides but once mine gave me trouble it became a routine to take a pail of water with dawn soap in it, a pail of clean water and some rags/towels. I would thoroughly wash down the top and bottom with the dawn, rinse it with clean water (cleaned the seals as well) then dry. I did a clean up job on the seals with a rag soaked in alcohol and dried it off. Then I would treat the seals with 303. I also would try to clean behind the bottom and get the wear bar as much as is possible. Once all that was done I sprayed the wear bar with Zep 45 initially but started using WD 40 Specialist dry lube and didn't see any difference.
Mine was probably a little different in the fact that the bottom of the slide had bowed a bit and the Darco on the ends had frayed requiring strips of uhmw to be installed. Just some thoughts

Those "spray slide conditioners" don't work very well around here. We've got lots of sand, so the ground stays dry. After a heavy 2" downpour, there's dust on the 4x4 trails behind the house within a couple hours. Dust is NOT a friend of spray conditioners and can make things gooey and sticky.
I wash with dawn/warm water, let it dry and coat with a wash cloth (old one, not one used in the house) dipped in a cupful of Aerospace 303. My slide seals are the original and they are still pliable, flip as expected, don't stick, aren't dirty and I don't suspect will need replacement for at least 4 or 5 more years.
Typically, if it comes in a spray can (and ain't paint or bug spray) I consider it a "shortcut to doing it the right way" and don't use it....

I have a 2010 Cougar. My slide always start with the bottom, this allows it to rise above the floor without scraping it. This may be normal.

If I soak a rag with 303 and wipe on seals in and out. If I get some on roof of slideout while applying to seal, will it hurt the roof?

No problem at all. Aerospace 303 is not a petroleum product and it doesn't have any citric acid in it, so it's perfectly safe for the TPO and EPDM roofing membrane.
In fact, many people use it as a UV protectant coating on their TPO roof. I've done it several times, early in the ownership of this Cougar. Now, we store it in the pole barn when not in use, so it doesn't get the UV exposure. Otherwise, I'd still be coating it with 303 at least every spring.
