Main slide

I have a question on my camper 2017 Cougar 28rks X-Lite. On the main slide It has the cables and they are adjusted they way they should be. But when we slide out the slideout the motor labors and heats up the fuse and shuts it down. When we run the slide in it does find. I always have it hookup electric when we do this. The battery is fine check water and all is good there. What could be doing this that the motor labor like that. I know the battery is at 12 volts because I use the auto level. Thanks for any help. Possibly corrosion or a loose connection on the motor wiring terminals for the "extend connections at the motor" ?? If it was corrosion/loose connection on the ground, it would happen both with extending and retracting the slide...

Is there anything caught under that slide? I've had darco tape roll up under mine causing it to bind.

You might want to check your slide seals. There are inner and outer "wiper seals" on the top, bottom and both sides of the slide room. These can get bound and cause the slide motor to labor in one direction or the other.

Yes, or a dedicated slide lube product. Just don't spray any lube on the bottom of the room that slides over the wear bar.

Factory techs recommended Pledge furniture polish (dollar store brand works just as well) for the slide seals. Spray onto a rag & wipe them down, much less mess than baby powder & cheaper than special rv seal conditioners. Used this for the last 10+ years on 2 rvs & after 5-6 years on each rv the seals were as good as new.
